Each January I take a look back at popular colors. This year I'm breaking down our top five most popular mitten colors for winter 2015-2016!

Basic black moved up to the number one spot this year! Always a classic, black goes with anything and does a good job of masking dirt.
Yellow was our best seller last year, and it continued to be popular this year. Many parents have found these are the perfect "hands" for Lego themed Halloween costumes. Read more about that here, here, and here.
Making a comeback from its number two spot in 2013-2014 is iris. This vibrant purple is one of my favorite shades! The yarn has a little bit of a sheen to it, and it looks really rich.
A newcomer to the top colors list is watermelon. I think it's because we started offering this color in our thumbless baby size this year. Whatever the reason, we sold a lot of this pink hue!
Rounding out the top five is classic red. This one was also fifth on last year's list! Red mittens on a string bring back memories of mittens from the old days, don't they?
